Pastor Michael D. Franklin was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 1, 1964. Upon academic graduations, he continued his studies under the mentorship and guidance of the Former Presiding Bishop of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., Dr. Norman L. Wagner. In August of 1986, he gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in Jesus’ Name and filled with the Holy Ghost.
In December of 1986, he married the former Chevone Ann Tucker, originally from Wilmington, Delaware. From this God-ordained union came four beautiful children, JaMykal Dairon (born in Holland), Shemiah Chevone (born in Italy), Christian Michelle (born in Italy) and JonMichael Joel (born in Ohio).
In July of 1987, Pastor & First Lady Franklin moved to Holland. While there, they started a bible study group in their home, which later became the military chapel’s Gospel Service at Woensdrech Air Base. In July of 1988, they moved to Aviano, Italy, where they served as full time missionaries for over seven years. While in Italy, Pastor & First Lady Franklin was instrumental in helping to establish over 17 churches throughout Italy, consisting of Italians, Americans, Filipinos and Africans from Ghana, Nigeria, Cameron, and Ivoryyy Coast. As International Evangelist, they have ministered around the world and have received much notoriety throughout Italy, England, Ireland, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Hungary, Slovenia, Seoul Korea, Russia, Africa and the United States due to their excellent leadership and anointed preaching.
In 1991, at the age of 26, Pastor Franklin was ordained and appointed to the office of District Elder over the entire country of Italy. In August of 2003, he was elevated to the office of Suffragan Bishop and assigned to the countries of Belgium, France and Russia. He served as Chairman of the European Council of Nations, the 31stEpiscopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., for 8 years. On the 17th of October 2004, Suff. Bishop Franklin founded Christ Ministries International Church, Inc., located in San Antonio, Texas. In August of 2009, he was elevated to the office of Bishop and was assigned as the Diocesan Bishop to the European Council of Nations Eastern District, which consist of churches throughout the countries of Italy, Germany, Ukraine, Russia and Eastern Europe. Bishop Franklin also served on a committee of national leaders who was annually invited to the White House for briefings on international religious affairs.
